Moore's Bicycle Shop
Free Checkups

No matter how much you spend on a bicycle it will go through a break-in period where the new cables will stretch, spokes will need to be retensioned, and a few bolts will need to be retightened. We pre-stress the cables and spokes upon assembly, but in order to ensure that your new bike gets settled in for the long haul, we provide you with 3 free checkups to take care of these minor problems.

These checkups are scheduled at 30, 60, and 90 days from when you purchased your bike. The dates are not set in stone, but the majority of break-in on a bike happens within the first 30 hours of riding, so we'd really like to see you around those dates to ensure that everything is running well. If you ride 500 miles your first week of owning the bike, you might want to come in early for your first checkup!

There is no need to schedule an appointment, and you don't have to bring your paperwork. Just drop the bike off, and we'll do our best to get it out the same day for you. Occasionally it takes an extra day to get it finished, but if that's the case, we'll let you know when you drop it off.

Now, I should tell you, these checkups are designed to take care of the "break-in" that a bicycle goes through; they are not, however, designed to cover the "break-ing" of a bicycle. So if you've abused your bike, thrown it off a cliff, had a wreck, or have taken a sledge hammer to it, then there might be a few charges associated.
